EU GAMER: Gaming as a Means to Encourage Responsible Citizenship

Grantee: DAFNI KEK
Call: Enhancing awareness & understanding of EU rights and values
Project Duration: 12 months
Budget: 59.996,53€
Country: Greece
Location: Western Greece

The project aims to simplify European values and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and experience related to citizenship and human rights, fostering participation and a sense of social responsibility. By leveraging the transformative power of virtual (VR) and digital environments, participants will understand how game-based experiences can effectively educate, empower, and motivate individuals to become more actively involved in their communities, shaping a generation of socially aware and active citizens. The project will involve a series of educational co-creation activities between secondary school students, teachers, parents, and digital game developers. Special emphasis will be given to students who will soon be called upon to assume their full responsibilities as active citizens, especially those attending schools lacking digital infrastructure or located in minority areas.

Target Groups:

  1. Students aged 15-18
