The project focuses on empowering women aged 55 and older, while promoting primary prevention, protection, and awareness of gender rights. It integrates research, awareness campaigns, and support group activities to address the increased risk of gender-based violence in this demographic. Key actions include qualitative research, awareness and empowerment workshops, training for witnesses of violence, and the development of local focal points. The project also features an information campaign to raise public awareness about domestic violence risks.
Target Groups:
The target groups include witnesses of gender-based violence, women aged 55 and older, the general public, NGOs, and journalists. The project aims to equip women 55+ with knowledge about their rights and available support while mobilizing witnesses to act effectively in situations of gender-based violence. Additionally, it raises awareness among the general public and engages stakeholders in promoting safety and equality for this often overlooked group.
