This UK-funded project, implemented jointly with the British Embassy in Athens and British Council Greece, aims to promote gender equality and female empowerment in the workplace, through capacity building and knowledge sharing initiatives between stakeholders in Greece and the UK.
The project was implemented in three phases. During phase 1 (July 2020) Greek professionals working in the field of gender equality received training by UK experts in addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender relations in corporate environments and on women-led enterprises. Two e-guides explaining training course content can be viewed here and here. Subsequently (during phase 2), a virtual roundtable brought together stakeholders from public, private and non-profit sectors to discuss the main issues affecting gender equality in the workplace.
During the last phase (February 2021), representatives of Greek employers and civil society organisations received training by UK experts on how to design and implement effective activities and campaigns to improve the place of women in the workplace. The training material from the course is available in the form of an e-guide here.
