In 1971, Bodossakis made a grant to cover the purchase of a plot of 45.7 acres and funded the construction of the Bodossakeio Primary School of the Athens College, whose model state-of-the-art facilities were inaugurated in September 1977.
In 1978, the building was awarded the Distinguished Building Award by the American Institute of Architects (AIA Chicago).
The total costs covered by the Foundation in order to realise this project amount to €53,500,000 at current prices. Today, this completely green area of land is also home to the other modern facilities of the Athens College primary schools complex.
