Hospice

From 1893 to this day, with its specially-trained staff (doctors and nurses) the Hospice has provided full medical and nursing care to thousands of patients with chronic conditions but no personal funds, along with financial assistance. It has also relieved families of the heavy burden of caring for their loved ones at home. In 1972, in order to achieve the goals for which it was established, the Hospice for Neuro-disability established the Foundation for Care of Neurological Illnesses. Today, the Foundation cares for around 180 patients from every part of Greece – paraplegic or tetraplegic patients, stroke victims or people suffering from multiple sclerosis or other conditions of the central nervous system.
