The Sismanoglio Megaro is situated in the old Grande rue de Pera (Great boulevard of Pera) known today as İstiklal Caddesi, a pedestrian street that is traversed daily by nearly two million people and which constitutes the commercial, social and cultural hub of the city. The Consulate General has created a beacon of Greek culture through a program of Greek courses, the library of father Μελέτιου Σακκουλίδη, exhibitions, lectures and musical performances.
