Net Zero-Care: Energy Upgrade of the ‘Diamantideios Stegi’ Elderly Care Unit

The ‘Net Zero-Care’ programme aims to showcase the manifold benefits of converting elderly care homes to the use of renewable energy. The programme, which is co-funded by the TIMA Charitable Foundation, the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, The Hellenic Initiative Canada, and the Bodossaki Foundation, involves the energy upgrade of the ‘Diamantideios Stegi’ Elderly Care Unit in Thessaloniki.

This significant investment will result in a considerable annual reduction in the care home’s operational costs, with the savings used to improve the quality of life of the residents as well as the working conditions of the staff.
