Fair Access to Social Rights – Access

Call: Protecting and Promoting EU rights and values
Project Duration: 12 months
Budget: 57.651,62€
Country: Greece
Location: Athens, national level

The project has a dual purpose. Firstly, it involves overseeing the national legislative framework, documenting good practices in EU member states, submitting proposals to the state to address discrimination, and highlighting pertinent issues. Secondly, it focuses on the empowerment of vulnerable Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), particularly individuals with disabilities and the elderly, through personalized legal counseling.

Target Groups:

30third-country citizens who will directly benefit from individual legal counseling sessions. This diverse group includes men and women of all ages, as well as minors accompanied by their guardians. Another target group is the state, with the aim of bringing about changes in the legal framework and administrative practices through targeted pressure, to eliminate discrimination. Yet another target group comprises European NGOs, facilitating the exchange of best practices and expertise, as well as providing information and awareness. Finally, the general public in Greece is another target group, with the goal of informing and raising awareness about discrimination in social rights against third-country citizens.
