To meet the ongoing urgent needs of the people of Thessaly resulting from the recent catastrophic flooding, the Bodossaki Foundation is supporting two organizations providing assistance to those affected: Médecins du Monde and Caritas Hellas.
The Foundation is working with Médecins du Monde to implement a six-month emergency aid programme, which includes sending mobile medical teams to the prefectures of Karditsa and Trikala in order to offer medical and psychosocial support to those affected by the disaster.
In parallel a three-month emergency aid programme run by Caritas Hellas will provide basic necessities such as food and clothing, while supporting the communities of Larissa, Karditsa and Trikala with mobile units staffed by social workers.
