Funding for the creation of a non-profit organization that will represent the MIT Enterprise Forum in Greece.
Creation of a non-profit organization
The MIT EF Greece will promote the development of entrepreneurial plans through the networking of ideas, people and technology. The project will be implemented by a central group of MIT graduates who live in Greece and supported by an active group of businessmen who operate in the technological sector as well as other executives from various fields. This initiative aims at connecting local expertise and know-how with a network of effective practices from all over the world in order to support Greek start up companies. The program will last for 3 years and is made up of two phases: The first phase will consist of organizing business workshops to inform and assist promising entrepreneurs as well as promoting notable local initiatives thus creating a network of participants, mentors, speakers, trainers, advisors etc. The second phase will consist of the creation and development of a national platform to support and help accelerate the development of Greek startup companies. This platform is expected to develop into a mechanism of international scope given that it is a coordinated effort of all the national representatives of the MIT Enterprise Forum and the MIT Enterprise Forum Global.
